Igbans Tax Services is a family-run tax preparation practice with two offices in Jamaica, NY (218-34 139th Ave and 21619 Merrick Blvd). This policy describes how we handle information collected through this website, igbanstax.org.
What we collect
When you use our contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, phone number, the service you're interested in, and anything you write in the message field. We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or tax documents through this website — those are only exchanged after you become a client, through secure channels we set up with you directly.
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information such as IP addresses and browser type for security and reliability purposes.
How we use it
We use your contact information for one purpose: responding to your inquiry and, if you choose to work with us, providing tax preparation and related services. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. As tax return preparers, we are also bound by federal law — including Internal Revenue Code §7216 — which prohibits us from disclosing or using tax return information for anything other than preparing your return, except with your written consent or as required by law.
Retention
Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry. Records for clients are retained in accordance with IRS recordkeeping requirements, then disposed of securely.
Third-party services
Contact form submissions are delivered to our office email using a transactional email provider. Our website is served by a hosting provider that may process basic request logs. Neither is permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about your inquiry, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (unless we are required by law to keep it). Just call or email us using the details below.
